Thiox

Like a magic trick, modern day magic. It's magic.

One Too Many Men

Sat on a stoop in yellow and purples and and orange glaze from the street. Rained, but only a little bit. He showed me pizza with the greenest of greens. Whoever heard of such a thing?

Holy Moles!

In lieu of missing the Problem of Evil this Monday due to Fall break, we honored Stephen Vicchio with our own version of class: a Bible Party! Replete with the blood and body of Christ, oh yes. A new friend was made too, Val brought Demming along for the fun. We shared an apocalypse donut, brown and goopy, like the end of the world.
Orange and brown, Dunkin Donuts honoring of Halloween, burgundy red and yellow cardboard, what a night!

The Reddest Thing

Stepped out of the MICA Bubble! Thankfully not my first time, yet I've been meaning to get to Red Emma's since I got here over a year ago and finally did tonight. Not red, but greenish and shades of black, white cracked ceiling and Joe with a blue shirt, Oxford style. And woman with her green dress on with pearly white buttons. Sat on purple seat cushions and drew in scarlet until the drawing was done. And his computer screen had been dropped maybe one too many times and buzzed like neon. A good day indeed.

Hard as Silk

Rachel dyed, I sewed, and soon enough my masturbating doll will have her clothes! Need to make myself a lifesize pair of these pants now...

To Train Home

And so they came home with me, Erik and Rachel and Amanda, and last night I realized two of my worlds were colliding while riding the train home.

Trippin'

Always on the move, noon til night, did almost die one too many times but that's how we like it, no? It rained and then rained some more until we couldn't see, which was bad since Rachel doesn't like using her windshield wipers very much at all. And I've driven with her before but never with Amanda and Erik who came to my house and I had my very first road trip with friends. On the way back home this morning at 5 this morning they were sleeping kids all flopped over each other in the backseat and Rach and I ate a cinnamon bun with a black plastic fork.
Raindrops were silver on glass and Erik felted us into his hair one by one, I went first, and the sky turned indigo so that the lights of the bridge we crossed could stand out against it.

My, How We Go Together

Guess who matched yesterday? Not that I've never done this before (intentionally or not, with my little sister or childhood best friend), but this here reached a new high of matchiness. Yes, the event calls for the coining of a new word: matchiness.
Upon returning home last night I discovered that my roommate Caitlin and I were not only wearing the same dress, but we both had on a particular shade of forest green and black. And not only this, but we were exactly opposites in color; I had the black dress and Caitlin green, I had green tights and Caitlin black. And both wearing knee-high boots. Needless to say this needed to be documented and shown off at the party later last night. Oh, to be completely and utterly fashionable!

A Gay Day

Oh rainbow cookies, oh sex shops, oh Jenny and Jenni and afternoon rain and dusk and cramming art history. We turned the light on because we could no longer see the creamy butter or our just about horrible color mixing, were those cookies ever so bad. Powdered sugar creamiest of whites and the rest a periwinkle blue that fades into everything else.

Funk It Up in the Photo Crib

Last night I heard Thai 60's funk. Heather showed me. Enough said.

Stars Hung Low

Drove to Towson, all the short way to Towson, through the movie theatresque corridors and plum and gold carpets through seashell pink walls to sit on a couch with at least four of us. Purple metallic stars hung from the ceiling because it was a gay room, and we were all kind of gay so it all fits.
Drove back home in the dark and I can't seem to remember to photographically document so here we see the drive where we get just a little bit lost because it was dark.

Scones All Around

Tried a new recipe today from my Oh So Wonderful vegan cookbook, Veganomicon. Honestly, with that title, how could it not be good? As always, used it as a base and went crazy from there, ended up with banana apple prune blueberry yummy scones, lavendar rose batter. Burnt my fingers a little on the pan and laid out 15 perfect little blobs on foil, so much foil. Gorged myself on about 4 of them, roommates came home and ate more, there are 2 left.

For Musings and Fathomings and Anything Else There Is

A night of beautiful and maybe not-so-beautiful things, new and old and revisited. Learned it is pointless to attend a Gayrave at Johns Hopkins even though they have a fog machine and free glowsticks and a room to dance. We brought the party, and left with it too. One girl in a green dress and red hair and there was pumping bass that thudded my chest.
Too many people for one car drove back and up, landed in alleyways that seemed covered in layers of mauve, I had been there before couldn't place when. Girl sat on steps and then girls sat on more white stairs whose paint chipped off as we speak as we walked back downstairs because we didn't have $5 and it wouldn't be worth it anyway.
Walked all the way back and down and then up again to the roof where we sang and discussed and played my beautiful blue baby and it was too sacred and too perfect for technology. And even if I did have my camera I wouldn't have taken a picture. And that night didn't end until the sun came up again.

How Girls Writhe for a Camera

Stepped into another world the other night, ladies clad in red and black and white and heels and pearls and garters and hose. Clamp lights on and the room smelled like another time where bombs ring and air raids are just ten minutes in many. They laid on purple velour and red and an elephant's pillow, heels touched a waxy wooden floor.

Drive Yo Mama or Something like that

Mollie introduced me to a new song today-- was making a mix for Sam and Mollie suggested I include this song instead of another by the Scissor Sisters.. actually it's not by them, I guess it's simply reminiscent. She says she's played it for me before but I don't believe her. Nevertheless, it sounds new.

Eat and Run

Sitting directly next to a Mondrian-inspired storefront, Joe Squared has too oft gone unnoticed by me; quite a shame seeing as it is reputed as having some of the best pizza in Baltimore, and I could never find it up until now! Better late than never however. An extensive pizza and risotto menu, yummy Greek and vegetarian toppings, seats to the world. And they have live music just about every night. What more can a girl ask for?

And as we walked back across the bridge, saw a man yelling and dancing violently at a sewer plate, if only we were all so passionate about sewer plates. Oh, Baltimore, oh North Avenue.

An aMuseing Night

Went for a late-night drive, Rach took me to Mount Washington, wonder how I could get there by public transit. If only I liked toys..
